Prini Ropa is a quiet secluded haven in the hills of the Kullu valley. Situated a short auto rickshaw ride above Manali, a bustling market town and gateway to the High Himalaya. The name Prini Ropa describes the rice terraces that once sculpted the area and surrounding hills, now a patchwork of different fruit orchards, vegetable gardens and hidden temples.
Prini Ropa was built in 1985 by Kranti Singh and Christina Noble of West Himalayan Holidays, pioneers of trekking in the Kullu region and has been the Noble Singh family home ever since. It has now grown into a beautiful secluded garden within which sits Prini House and a contemporary purpose built studio space. It has been designed for use as a painting studio, for writing retreats or any other activity that would benefit from a light and meditative space surrounded by the inspiring Himalayan hills and the frenetic energy of India.
